About P&T

Twenty to nine and someone asks the bartender, where’s the music. “They start at nine”, she says confidently. A few minutes later P&T walk in with a surprisingly small amount of gear, set up, tweak the sound, say hello to some friends and still have five minutes to spare. One by one they settle in on stage. Then it hits you…..that big sound. Not loud, just big. And they make it look easy. After 30 years making music together, playing almost every dock bar, café, and roadhouse in the Baltimore/Annapolis/Washington DC region, these guys know how to groove. With a self-imposed work ethic that requires the use of all available talents these four guys make more music than many bands twice the size. Everybody sings. Everybody plays. No loitering on this stage. It certainly doesn’t hurt that each are outstanding players, singers and songwriters on their own. P&T have found that rare ability to pare things down to the essence so all the individual parts have space to shine separately while combining to breath like one giant monster. That’s the secret of their big sound. So if you just want loud, you’ve come to the wrong place. If you want big, here it is.

The guys in P&T have shared the stage with headliners including Michelle Shocked, Poco, the Proclaimers, Radney Foster, Leon Russell, Billy Ray Cyrus, Anne McCue, and Lucy Wainright Roche. Their music was played on the Space Shuttle Discovery in March 2009 as the wake up call for the astronauts while docked with the International Space Station and have appeared on Nashville Star on NBC.
